Liz and Douglas had three happy visits to Malta together in 2007 & 2014.  Douglas had been to Malta before with Tricia, Gillan and Gemma in 1988.
Liz and Douglas bought a 5* time share apartment in Golden Sands.

Whilst the accommodation was excellent, it was frankly a financial disaster, as we found we couldn’t sell it when we wanted to. After Liz died and Calum didn’t want Liz’s share of the property, Douglas gave it away so that he’d be free of the annual service charges that rose ever year.

We had two New Year’s Eve’s there, 2007 with Calum & Eleanor and 2014 on our own. The food was amazing on both occasions.
